SOE Hunts is proud to offer Hunts on the south island of New Zealand, one of the prettiest places on earth! This beautiful mountain country is home to some of the biggest red stags in the world. Coming to the south island of New Zealand in March and April while these magnificent animals are in the rut is truly an amazing experience! SOE hunts offers, red stag, chamois, and Himalayan tahr hunts. On your hunt, you can also experience some of the best brown trout fishing in the world.
Most of our clients will arrive the day before the hunt starts to relax and work off some of the jet lag before starting the hunt. We will pick you up at the Queenstown airport on the south Island or, you can rent a car and drive to the ranch. We are approx 1.5 hours from the airport. There are a number of other experiences to be had while on your trip including, trout fishing, helicopter tours of the back country and remote lakes, jet boat tours on the rivers, dinner cruises and many more! The list of extra opportunities is truly endless and the travel agency we work with can also help arrange these excursions for you. The majority of our clients end up staying in New Zealand for a few extra days to take advantage of the amazing scenery and all that New Zealand has to offer. All Hunts are 5 full days of hunting and include your meals, lodging, guide and game handling. Additional days can be added for $1,250.00 per day per person.
